What advice would you give teenagers thinking of trying out for American Idol?
DON'T DO IT! No, I'm just kidding. If you are going to try out, make sure that you give it 110% so that when you walk out that door, whether you made it or not, you know that you gave it your all. And always remember that your best is all that you can give. And remember that it's only three people's opinion.
What is one of the best pieces of advice you've ever been given?
Wear clean underwear. No seriously, what goes around comes around so treat everyone how you would want to be treated.
Will you be on American Idol this year, performing from your CD?
That would be a great opportunity, so we'll have to see what happens.
Do you still keep in touch with any of the other finalists from AI2?
I hung out with Trenyce at a Prom Kings concert the other day. I recently did a radio interview for Carmen's hometown with her. I spoke to Rickey on Christmas and he's doing great! And my favorite bad boy, Corey Clark, is always hangin' with me.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy hanging out with my girlfriends and dancing at clubs when we all go out.
What's in your CD player right now?
The new Kelly Clarkson, believe it or not! I could listen to that CD for the rest of my life every day and be totally satisfied!
What instruments do you play?
Spoons and forks on the dinner table, but I don't think anybody else enjoys it except for me.
Do you now have an agent and manager?
My Mom acts as my manager and handles all of the chaos. My lawyer, Howard, who is now one of my closest confidantes, handles the rest.
If you could be anyone in the world who would it be and why?
OPRAH! Duh! Because she is the most successful woman in the world and you can't top that!
Who is your, or one of your, favorite person(s) that you've been able to interview for the TV Guide Channel & why?
Rene Zellweger. She was so humble and down to earth, and she went to my rival high school in Katy, Texas!
If you could pick any person to interview for the TVGC, who would it be and why?
Eminem, but somebody would have to hold me down while I asked the questions.
If you could make a cameo appearance on any television show, what would it be?
Will and Grace. I'd want to be the girl attempting to make Jack straight. Ha, ha!
Do you have any television shows that you're addicted to? If so, what are they?
Ridiculously enough, the new Surreal Life and Super Nanny. And Oprah and Ellen for life.
If you were going on tour now and could pick any musical artist or group to tour with you, who would you pick?
How cool would it be to rock out with Aerosmith??
Out of the songs you've recorded so far for your album, do you have any personal favorites?
My favorite, you haven't heard yet. It's called "Cost Of Love". But, I have a special place in my heart for "Life After You".
